Playground FAQ
User deletion and Playground sessions data
What happens to my work when I delete my account?
Q1: Will my Playground sessions be deleted when I delete my account?
Yes, all of your Playground sessions will be permanently deleted. This includes all files, data, and work associated with your sessions. This deletion cannot be undone.
Q2: I work on a team with other people. Will my sessions still be deleted?
Yes, your sessions will be deleted even if you're part of a team. It doesn't matter if:
- Other team members are using your sessions
- Your sessions are important to team projects
- Your team has many members
All sessions you created will be permanently removed when you delete your account.
Q3: I'm a team admin. What happens to my team when I delete my account?
Your team will continue to exist, but your Playground sessions will be deleted. Here's what happens:
- Your team stays active with the remaining members
- Only your personal Playground sessions are deleted
- Other team members keep their Playground sessions
If you're the team owner, your team may need a new owner
Q4: I'm the only person on my team. Will my team be deleted too?
No, your team will remain in the system even if you're the only member. However:
- Your Playground sessions will still be deleted
- Your team will be empty but still exist
- The empty team won't be automatically removed
Q5: Can I get my sessions back after I delete my account?
No, deleted sessions cannot be recovered. Once your account is deleted, all your work is permanently lost.
Before deleting your account, save your important work:
- Download or export any sessions you want to keep
- Make copies of important files
- Back up any work you might need later
If You're on a Team:
- Tell your teammates you're leaving
- Share important work with team members
- Make sure someone else can handle your responsibilities
- Transfer ownership of critical projects if possible
If You're a Team Admin:
- Choose someone to take over as team owner
- Make sure important team resources are accessible to others
- Inform team members about any changes they should expect
Important Reminders
- Deletion is permanent - there's no way to undo it
- Your teammates won't be warned - they won't know your sessions are being deleted unless you tell them
- Team projects may be affected - if others depend on your work, they'll lose access to it
