Chrome Extension: Clone Private & Internal Pages
Anima Chrome Extension lets you capture any page you’re logged into—internal tools, dashboards, or private sites—and import it directly into Anima Playground. From there, you can edit the UI, prompt changes, and export clean React or HTML code.
How it works (step by step):
- Install the Anima Chrome Extension from the Chrome Web Store.
- Navigate (in your browser) to the page you want to clone.
- Click the extension and tap “Generate now →”.
- Anima Playground will open with the captured page data, where you can keep editing and prompt your changes.
Use cases & benefits
Here are some scenarios where the extension shines:
- Rapid prototyping on real flows: Try out new ideas on actual internal flows, instead of recreating mockups.
- Modernize internal tools: Convert a legacy enterprise dashboard page into a React component and iterate on new UI logic.
- When Figma is missing: Maybe internal pages don't have full design files; this gives non-designers a way to start from the real UI.
- Design audit & refactor: You can import an internal page, examine its structure, refactor or modularize, and re-export.
- Learning & documentation: Developers or UX teams can import real internal screens to annotate or document flows.
